Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-21 · 한국어

1. The service

Lectunote is a personal study tool (a Chrome extension and companion web service) that helps you take and organize study notes while watching Udemy courses you are enrolled in with your own account, and optionally summarizes and structures those notes with AI models. Lectunote does not host, sell or distribute course content. The service is operated by Lectunote (Sungjun Hwang, Republic of Korea) and is not affiliated with Udemy, Inc.

2. Personal use only; your responsibilities

  • Personal study only. Use Lectunote solely for your own learning, on courses you lawfully access with your own Udemy account. Accessing other people's accounts is prohibited.
  • No sharing or redistribution. Notes and AI output you create may not be shared, published, redistributed or sold. Lectunote may not be used to extract course content at scale or to circumvent DRM.
  • You are responsible for complying with Udemy's Terms of Use and the terms of any other learning platform you use. Lectunote keeps the notes you create only on your device; if you enable sync, only AI-generated notes are stored in your private account, never lecture transcripts or captures.
  • Do not rely on AI-generated output without verifying it.
  • Keep your Google sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may restrict or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

3. Credits and Pro subscription

  • New accounts receive the free credits shown on the pricing page.
  • AI conversions deduct credits according to the per-model rates (per 1k input/output tokens, per image) displayed in the extension before you start a conversion.
  • Credit packs are one-time purchases and do not expire while your account is active. The Pro subscription renews monthly until cancelled.
  • If you use your own API key (BYO) with an external AI provider, no credits are deducted and that provider bills you directly.
  • AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. Verifying it is your responsibility.

4. Payments, reseller and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles payments, taxes and refunds. Prices are shown in USD and may be displayed in your local currency at checkout.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee a 99.9% SLA. Planned maintenance and incidents are announced on lectunote.com.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Lectunote to circumvent DRM, extract or scrape course content at scale, build datasets from course content, resell or publicly distribute course materials or notes derived from them, or interfere with the service. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes

We will give notice before material changes to these terms take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence.
